Dwight L. "Ike" Duty, 54, died April 17, 2010. He was born on December 2, 1955 in Ashland, KY to Loretta and Cermillus Duty (honored veteran and POW Korea). Ike grew up and attended school in Saginaw, MI. He joined the USAF in 1976. He served during Desert Storm and retired after 20 years. He was currently employed with Lincoln Financial Insurance Company where he has worked since 1996. Ike was a Mason. He was a people person who always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. He loved helping people...

Dwight L. "Ike" Duty, 54, died April 17, 2010. He was born on December 2, 1955 in Ashland, KY to Loretta and Cermillus Duty (honored veteran and POW Korea). Ike grew up and attended school in Saginaw, MI. He joined the USAF in 1976. He served during Desert Storm and retired after 20 years. He was currently employed with Lincoln Financial Insurance Company where he has worked since 1996. Ike was a Mason. He was a people person who always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. He loved helping people and was a wonderful husband and father who adored his wife and son.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Fida V. Duty; son, TSgt David T. Duty, Military Working Dog Handler USAF stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO; mother, Loretta Duty of Flatwoods, KY; uncle, Herbert Clark of Flatwoods, KY; mother-in-law, Dora Carter of Chapel Hill, NC; sister-in-law, Wafaa Carter of Chapel Hill, NC and brother-in-law, Arthur Jolin of Chapel Hill, NC.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, April 23, 2010 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
