Betty Blanchard Beaman, 84, passed away September 11, 2017 at WakeMed Cary Hospital.

She was born to the late Lillian and John Blanchard on April 16, 1933 in New Bern, NC. Betty married Jesse V. Beaman on New Year's Day, 1957 and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a longtime Cary resident and worked at the NC State Health Department for 25 years. After she retired, she found a new love volunteering at WakeMed Cary Hospital for over 22 years.

Betty Blanchard Beaman, 84, passed away September 11, 2017 at WakeMed Cary Hospital.

She was born to the late Lillian and John Blanchard on April 16, 1933 in New Bern, NC. Betty married Jesse V. Beaman on New Year's Day, 1957 and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a longtime Cary resident and worked at the NC State Health Department for 25 years. After she retired, she found a new love volunteering at WakeMed Cary Hospital for over 22 years.

She loved spending time with friends at the beach, and her greatest joy was celebrating with the people in her life-every holiday was an occasion.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jesse V. Beaman; children, Suzy McPherson and Joe Beaman and his wife, Catherine; sister, Linda Blanchard Martin and her husband, Dudley Martin; grandchildren, Matthew McPherson, Parker Beaman, Mary Jo Beaman, and Coley Pritchett; niece, Paige Treichler and husband, Tom Treichler and their children, Gracie and Ava Mae.

Following a private burial, a celebration of life service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
